    Dental SEO Services

Dental SEO services from Odin Digital cover the four things that decide whether a practice gets found: the Google Business Profile and local pack, a proper page for each treatment you provide, the technical health of the site, and a review engine that stays inside AHPRA advertising rules. You get a free audit first, KPIs agreed in writing, a 90-day KPI guarantee, and no lock-in contract.

    What dental SEO services include

Dental SEO is not one job. It is six, and skipping any of them is usually why the last agency did not work.

Local SEO and Google Business Profile. When someone searches "dentist near me", the map results sit above everything else, and most of the clicks stop there. That is decided by proximity, profile completeness, category accuracy, review volume and freshness, photos, and whether the profile is maintained or abandoned. We treat the profile as a live asset — categories and services mapped to what you actually provide, opening hours kept honest, questions answered, posts published — rather than a one-off setup.

Treatment-type pages. Patients do not search for "dentist" when they want implants. They search for implants, cost, recovery and whether it hurts. Each treatment you want more of needs its own page explaining what the treatment involves, who it suits, what the process looks like, what it costs (with the qualifying information the guidelines require), and what happens next. This is the single biggest lever most practice websites have never pulled.

Suburb pages, done properly. A suburb page earns its place when it says something true about that suburb — how patients get to you, where you park, which treatments that catchment asks for, which neighbouring areas you serve. A suburb page fails when it is the same paragraph with a different name in it. Thin duplicates dilute the site, so we build fewer and make each one real.

Reviews, the AHPRA-compliant way. Review volume and recency are among the strongest local ranking inputs, and also the fastest way to get into trouble. Testimonials about clinical services cannot be used in advertising, and your website and ads are advertising. So we build the review engine on your Google Business Profile — a request process at the right moment in the patient journey, responses written to be useful rather than defensive — and keep clinical testimonials off the site entirely.

Technical SEO. Crawlable, indexable pages. Sensible internal linking so a new treatment page is not stranded three clicks from anywhere. Service and organisation schema. Fast mobile delivery, because most dental searches happen on a phone and a booking form that loads slowly is a booking form nobody submits. See our technical SEO service for the full scope.

Content and AI search citations. The questions patients ask before they book — is it painful, how long does it take, what does it cost, do you take payment plans — answered in plain English, on the site, in a structure assistants can quote. Answer engines increasingly summarise before anyone clicks, and the practices being cited are the ones whose pages answer the question directly instead of burying it. Our generative engine optimisation work covers that side.

    How we price and report

Everything starts with a free audit — the site, the profile, the current rankings and what competitors in your catchment are doing. That gives us something to quote against, which is why we do not publish a monthly price: a single-chair practice in one suburb and a three-site group covering implants and aligners across a metro area are not the same job.

Before work starts, we agree the KPIs in writing. Not "improve visibility" — specific numbers on specific queries and specific enquiry volumes, with a date attached. Those numbers carry our 90-day KPI guarantee: if we do not hit what we agreed, we keep working at no charge until we do. There is no lock-in contract, and you own the website, the analytics, the Google Business Profile and everything produced during the engagement.

Reporting follows the same logic. Rankings are an input, not a result. What we report is enquiries by source, cost per booked patient where the treatment value justifies tracking it, and which pages are producing. If a page is not producing, we say so and change it.

The AHPRA rules that shape dental SEO

Section 133 of the National Law governs what a registered practitioner can say in advertising, and responsibility sits with the practitioner rather than the agency. In practice that rules out four things SEO agencies routinely do elsewhere: testimonials about clinical services, claims that create an unreasonable expectation of benefit, comparative superlatives you cannot substantiate ("best dentist in Melbourne"), and offers or discounts without the terms attached. Before-and-after imagery has its own conditions, and cosmetic procedures picked up additional requirements in 2023.

None of that prevents a dental site from ranking. It changes what the pages are built from — qualifications, clinical detail, treatment explanations and transparent pricing instead of hype. If you want to check existing copy yourself, our free AHPRA advertising compliance checker screens a page or ad against these rules in a few seconds.

    Dental SEO by city

    Dental SEO in Sydney

Sydney is the hardest dental search market in the country: corporate groups bidding on every treatment term, and catchments that change character street by street. Search work here lives or dies on the local pack, because a CBD practice and a practice two suburbs away are effectively in different races. We build the profile and proximity signals first, then treatment pages for the work you actually want.

    Dental SEO in Melbourne

Melbourne practices compete on presentation as much as price, which shows up in search behaviour — cosmetic, veneer and aligner queries carry long research windows. That favours practices with real treatment content rather than a services list. We pair that content with local pack work across the inner suburbs and growth corridors.

    Dental SEO in Brisbane

Brisbane's population growth keeps adding patients and competitors at the same time. New residents search with no existing loyalty, so map visibility and review freshness matter more than brand history. We prioritise the profile, suburb coverage across the north and south, and pages for the treatments driving enquiries.

    Dental SEO in Adelaide

Adelaide is a smaller market where a well-built site can hold top positions for a long time, which makes early work unusually durable. The catch is that the same is true for whoever is already there. We look for the treatment and suburb gaps incumbents have left open, then build for those first.

    Dental SEO in Perth

Perth's dental demand is spread across a long, low-density corridor, so a single location rarely ranks across the whole metro. Suburb coverage has to be deliberate and honest about where you can realistically serve patients. We map the catchment, then build only the pages that can be substantiated.

    Common Questions

Dental SEO questions practices actually ask

Most practices see ranking movement inside 90 to 120 days and a clear change in enquiry volume around month four to six. Local pack positions can move faster than organic pages because Google Business Profile signals update quickly. Search compounds: every optimised treatment page and local citation makes the next one work harder.

The price is driven by how competitive your postcode is, how many suburbs you want to be found across, how many treatments need their own page, and how much content and technical repair the site needs up front. A single-chair practice covering one suburb sits well below a multi-site group covering implants, aligners and cosmetic work across a metro area. We quote after the free audit, so the number reflects your site rather than a template.

Reviews on your Google Business Profile are fine — patients leave them on Google's platform, not in your advertising. What AHPRA prohibits is using testimonials about clinical services in advertising, and your website counts as advertising. So we build review volume on the profile, and keep the website to what you can substantiate: qualifications, services, what treatment involves and pricing with the required qualifying information.

They work when each page is genuinely about that suburb — the practice's presence there, how patients travel in, parking, the treatments that area asks for — and they fail when they are the same paragraph with the suburb name swapped. Thin, duplicated suburb pages dilute the site and can suppress the pages you care about. We build fewer of them, properly.

Dental SEO is the search portion: rankings, the local pack, the site's technical health and the content that earns visibility. Dental marketing is the whole acquisition system — search plus paid media, the website, the review engine and the follow-up. If you want the broader programme, start on our dental marketing agency page; if search is the priority, this is the right place.

Yes. We take one practice per catchment for search work. Ranking two clients for the same queries in the same suburb means one of them is being underserved, and we would rather not be in that position.
